Abstract Acrylic Painting: The Collaborative Mosaic

Join us for a high energy holiday art workshop focused on creating a Collaborative Mosaic Abstract Acrylic Painting! This workshop combines the joy of a party with a deep dive into professional art techniques. Each artist starts with a 12x12 inch wood panel, painting for ten minutes before passing it to the neighbor on their right. The rotation continues until every panel has traveled the entire circle, ensuring every hand contributes to each piece. To elevate our collaborative work, for a variety of effects we will experiment with an extensive library of acrylic mediums, including gesso, molding paste, heavy gel, soft gel, tar gel, glazing medium, pouring medium, crackle paste, matte medium, and UV-reactive mediums. Once the panels complete their journey, we will connect them to reveal one monumental abstract mosaic. As a group, we will rotate and rearrange the individual panels, exploring the endless visual possibilities and stories hidden within our collective masterpiece. Come celebrate life and art as we build something beautiful together! Please bring your own brushes, palette knives, and a soap to clean the brushes. Acrylic paints, wood panels, and acrylic mediums provided. Light refreshments will also be provided. Painting is thirsty work!
