Field Trip: SR3 Sealife Response + Rehabilitation + Research

Description

SR3 Sealife Response + Rehabilitation + Research Environmental Exploration Dive into the environment of the Pacific Northwest and the Puget Sound, with a focus on marine mammals. We will explore the shoreline around Des Moines, WA through a series of hands-on activities, learning to spot marine mammals in the wild and what to do if they are sick or injured. Included is also a visit through the SR3 Rescue Center, explaining different parts of a patient rehabilitation journey like our marine mammal ambulance, surgery suite, and patient enclosures, and look at marine mammal artifacts and anatomy. Please note that talking and proximity to animals are restricted in patient areas to prevent habituation.
