Description

Discover your hidden talents through the basics using charcoal amp; pencils. Find out how fun & easy it is as it builds the self-confidence of beginning students! Simple-to-understand instruction taught in a relaxed atmosphere.Starting with warm up practice, one can appreciate the lines, shapes, values, textures, and other qualities of the drawing objects. Through observation and longer drafts, one will understand the relationship between objects, space, and the artist. It is a meditative process that relaxes your mind and releases your creative ideas, a fun and simple way to create an art of your own. Materials will not be supplied for this class. Participants will need to supply their own materials listed below:Mixed-media paper pad; any sizeDrawing tools: choose any type to purchase or bring what you have (charcoal, Pencil, pen, ink, watercolor, graphite, crayons, oil pastel, chalk pastel, oil pastels, soft pastels, etc.)Eraser: if using pencilKneading eraser: if using charcoalPencil SharpenerPlease have your paper and drawing tools ready and bring them to class.Optional Materials:Drawing board and TapeFixative spray – only needed when using charcoal.
