INCLUSION | 1:1 SUPPORT – Aquatics

Description

One-to-one support is available for participants registered in swimming levels Preschool 1 through Swimmer 4 to promote success, safety, and confidence in the water. This individualized support is designed for swimmers whose needs are not fully met within a standard group supervision ratio. Inclusion Support Assistants provide gentle redirection for safety, assist with transitions and focus, offer encouragement, and create opportunities for rest or sensory breaks as needed. While inclusion staff are not certified swim instructors and do not provide private swim instruction, their goal is to support integration within the aquatic environment alongside the swimmer's peers and Swim Instructor. Please note that personal care cannot be performed by Inclusion Support Assistants in this program format. When registering for Inclusion One-to-One Support - Aquatics, participants must also be registered separately in a corresponding aquatic program at the same location, day, and time.
