Introduction to Drawing

Description

Participants can expect to learn techniques used for rendering forms realistically and creatively. We will use oil pastels, pencils, charcoal, chalk pastels and pens throughout the sessions to explore shading/pressure control, linework, negative space, light versus shadow, and defining form & depth. Methods for blending such as hatching, stippling, and scribbling and layering will be introduced, along with activities that help refine one's drawing skills. All materials will be provided but you may bring your own. No drop-ins. No class Sep 30.
